|
|
There is a great four star fine dinning Native American Restaurant at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa. This restaurant is called KAI and it is run by a Santa Clara Pueblo Chef by the name of Sandy Garcia.
Kai has been open for over three years now and has recieved rave reviews for their innovative cuisine and modern approach to an ancient cuisine. Chef Garcia utilizes produce that is grown on the reservation by a student agriculture program. Kai Also uses citrus, melons and olive oil that is produced locally which adds to thier goal of promoting Native food producers and local fresh produce.
--You can find on the menu items such as Bison from the Souix, Quinalt Pride River Salmon from the Pacific coast, Hopi Piki Bread, Tepary Beans from the Tohono O'odham tribe and many other ingredients from across Native America. Kai is truly a testiment to the emergence of a new and refined Native American Cuisine.
--It will be great to watch the progress of this inspiring restaurant in the years to come....

I will be paying a visit to all those wonderful places listed on my next trip to Phx, Az. These before any others and I really love the thought of going to KAI
If there are any more restaurants out there - then PLEASE PLEASE list them and lets support our native restaurants and/or chefs.
